Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree, May 10th, 2024. The sun sent a G5 solar storm right at us. Some bold aurora forecasts said it could possibly reach as far south as Joshua Tree?? So I drove there on a whim just to be safe. I was rewarded with a northern lights show straight out of a dream. I just wanted to bite the sky!

Unlike my Ghost Town adventure days earlier, car headlights actually improved the pictures and the experience. No light polluting hooligans. Just a swarm of people wanting to see this rare event. The night was Electric. Magnetic. And Magenta.
